World of Warcraft Item Upgrades
The item upgrade feature allows players to upgrade their existing equipment. This can be done by any upgrader of items NPC.
Upgrades boost the stats of an item and also add extras depending on its type. Examples include Whistan’s shield for FB Sorcs, and Goldwraps for build casters.
Armour
Armour is one of the most important factors that keep Link protected from injury in the majority of situations. Although it isn't upgraded like weapons, it is possible to enhance its defense capabilities in a variety of ways.
Armour is designed to shield animals and people from injury or harm regardless of whether it's a direct physical attack or a range of hazards posed by the environment or activities. In the past, most armour was made from fabric or leather, but metal protections were also used in military applications, particularly like heavy cavalry and combat drones.
As with weapons, there are a number of ways that armour can be upgraded, but most will require visiting one of the four Great Fairy Fountains located throughout Hyrule. Each fountain has a unique degree of upgrades available with higher levels of upgrades granting higher levels of protection and require a higher price in rupees and materials to unlock.
The first thing to remember about Armor Upgrades is that they are permanent upgrades which means that once they've been applied they cannot be replaced unless you own another piece of equipment that comes with the same upgrade. It is essential to only apply the highest grade of upgrades to your equipment and that you have the materials needed to complete the process.
You can find the upgrades you require in a variety of places around Hyrule. upgrade item include shrines, merchants, and even enemies. They'll usually be identified with the gold circle or blue triangle symbol and are available in large numbers as you advance through the game. They can appear randomly, however there is a chance that obtaining certain upgrades can trigger a quest that will reward you with even more.
It's also worth noting that although the level of protection provided by each upgrade varies, it is the same for all upgrades and will always be better than nothing. A complete set of upgraded armor will give you a powerful defense boost that protects you from all kinds of attacks, except magic. This makes it a formidable weapon for all classes.
Weapons
If you'd like to make your guns truly distinctive, you can upgrade them with a variety of special upgrades. These upgrades can increase the damage or alter the stats of the weapon to suit your specific build. They also allow new attachments like unique enchantments, various kinds of ammunition, and aesthetic options.
You'll need both the upgrade component as well as the weapon itself to upgrade it. The weapon has to be at a minimum of an appropriate level to upgrade it. Most weapons can only be upgraded by one upgrade.
Weapon upgrade components can be found all over the world, from the enemy or from merchants. The upgrade components themselves are a combination of ingredients that can be put into weapons, armor trinkets and gathering tools to provide an attribute bonus or extra effect when they are in use. They require that the equipment be of a certain level to accept the upgrade and can be upgraded in the same manner as other items.
The upgrades themselves are a mix of Smithing Stones and Runes, and they are used for enhancing the stats of a base weapon and enhancing its scale with other stats. These upgrades are available from enemies in the open world or from merchants. They can also be dropped by combat.
Two NPCs can enhance your weapon: Blacksmith Hewg, located in the Roundtable Hold hub zone and the Smithing Master Iji, in the Road to Manor hub zone. Both of these NPCs accept your Smithing Stones or Runes to upgrade your weapon.
It's crucial to prioritize upgrading your best-in-slot items first, and then items that you won't need to replace in the near future. Upgrade your weapon first, then upgrade your shoulders, chest hands, feet, and hands if you plan to play an asymmetrical build. The same principle applies to Magic and Utility Items. But, depending on your style of play, certain items will be more beneficial than others. The same is true for Armour Reforges, with certain types being better than others.
Magic Items
A character can only upgrade one item of magic at a time. If an upgrade project is canceled, any subsequent upgrades for the item will not start. Magic items that are upgraded will cost twice the gold they would normally cost to make or purchase, but they can also provide additional advantages.
A magical item is an item with special properties or effects. Most of these items are weapons, however some are also shields, armor as well as cloaks, potions rings, scrolls and other items. Some of these items can be made to speak.
The majority of magic items can be upgraded so that they are equipped with additional capabilities. This makes them more useful to players, or can help them overcome an especially difficult challenge. A weapon that is infused can provide bonuses to damage against a particular type of enemy, for instance. This is particularly useful for characters who have reached a stage at which they'll likely encounter the same kind of monster in dungeons repeatedly.
A ring that is infused can grant protection against piercing, bludgeoning or slashing injuries from non-magical attacks (not even silvered ones) until the next time the character takes a long rest. This is especially useful for melee martial characters or anyone who wants to avoid purchasing an armor.
Certain objects with enchanted properties have special abilities that allow the character to cast spells that are not in their class list. This is useful for characters that have difficulty filling their spell slots due to multiclassing. These items that are enchanted typically require an Intelligence (Arcana) check prior to use, and the spell is determined by rolling on an array of tables based on the number of Intelligence points used.
Other objects that are enchanted can allow the character's appearance change, or they could even create a completely new one. These items are especially useful for characters who were forced to leave their home or are in a location in which they are not welcome. A magical item could grant them an invisibility effect, or perhaps make them invisible to all other than a selected person.
Utility Items
Utility items are products that don't fall into the categories of clothing, armor or Weapons and have a range of different capabilities. Unlike Armor and Weapons they are not a single utility item that will be in conflict with the other. Most utility items have an effect that the player can activate by using them but some also have additional capabilities that are triggered when the user presses a button or activates a skill.
Generally speaking, the most popular kind of utility item is the Flashlight that illuminates the surrounding area. Other options include the Helicopter Hat and Rocket Boots, which allow the player to float in the air while they move, and the Jetpack, which allows players to accelerate in any direction while on the ground. Several utilitarian items can be quickly created in the Engineering section, while others are unlockable through research projects or experimental projects at the Proving Ground.
In addition to the items that are available in the standard inventory, players can also obtain additional powerful utility items by buying them from the Atomic Shop and also from seasonal Scoreboard rewards (such as the Shadow Goggles). Certain of these items can be upgraded for more efficient use.
Most utility items increase the combat ability of a particular character or provide the player with some kind of advantage when it comes to navigation. For example, Sharpening stones created by the Weaponsmith increase Power and Ferocity, while Maintenance Oils crafted by the Huntsman increase Concentration and Healing Power. Other utility items such as Writs or Theses made by the Scribe, can be utilized to give the player either a boost in damage or condition damage.
XCOM soldiers can equip a single accessory item to start the campaign. An additional slot is available after completing certain engineering, research, or experimental projects on the Proving Ground. During the Alien Hunters DLC, additional slots are added by equipping the Grenade Launcher which allows players to equip an Smoke Grenade or Bomb in an additional grenade slot, while an offensive grenade is equipped in the main slot for grenades.
