World of Warcraft Upgrades and Item Upgrading
Upgrades can increase the value of armors, weapons and rings. Upgrades can also boost bonuses like Crit chance and damage from PvE.
If the weapon's upgrade template is in %, the weapon will gain 3% of its previous damage each time it is upgraded.
Item upgrading costs crests and the item's current level. The cost increases as the item level increases.
Components
Upgrade components can be added to trinkets, weapons and armor to provide them with a boost in stats or add a bonus effect. These can be obtained by crafting, buying from vendors or trading with other players or looting. Certain upgrades come with special cosmetic effects.
Upgrade components are only available to equipment with a slot. The item must be upgraded to blue before the component can be applied. Upgrade components, unlike other mods, can only be applied only once. They cannot be replaced or applied several times. Infusions and enrichments are a particular type of upgrade component that is used to upgrade non-amulet ascended or legendary equipment and some of the non-ascended back items. Infusions and enrichments can be recovered by salvaging ascended gear or completing an elite task in the Prophecies, Factions and Nightfall campaigns.
A prefix or suffix can be added to an upgrade, which alters the name of the item it is used on (for instance, 'Canthan Armor Insignia',' changes to Canthan Armor Minor Vigor). Certain upgrades can increase the Mark Level or Rarity of an item, allowing players create stronger versions with less Upgrade crystals than they need to reach the same level with normal methods.
A 'boost' upgrade can alter the attack or defence attributes of the weapon or armor. These upgrades can be made from the Portative Forging Station once the player has completed the cutscene and defeats the Crazed Mechanical. They can also be dropped by enemies while upgrading other gear, or by purchasing them from the cash shop for 500 upgrade crystals each.
The player is able to have the maximum of five boost upgrades at a time; each upgrade increases the probability that a better-quality version of the item will drop during the next reset. This gives the player some incentive to continue improving their equipment, even if they're unsure of how much it will improve following a subsequent reset.
Whether a boost upgrade is successful or not, the process may be expensive, and there is a substantial possibility that the item will become obsolete or even break when it fails; a unsuccessful upgrade could destroy the Upgrade Crystals and Assist Powder as well as the upgraded item. This is alleviated by the availability cash shop items to double or even eliminate chances of failure, as well as a few upgrades that give a bonus when reinserted into an item.
Glyphs
Glyphs can be used to enhance the Paragon Board by placing them in sockets with special functions. Glyphs buff the power of all nodes in their radius, including pre-existing affixes on equipment. Glyphs are upgraded in a variety of ways, and we recommend getting them to level 15 as soon as possible.
In the final game you'll find that the best way to improve your gear is to place Glyphs. These are the only upgrade components which can be upgraded to level 15 and offer an enormous boost to your power on the Paragon Board.
Glyphs, which is the only upgrade component that can be removed without restriction and replaced again are the most commonly used. Only legendary equipment can be salvaged and rebuilt by using a Black Lion Salvage Kit.
Each Glyph has a specific range of values it can improve a stat by, and the value is displayed when you choose the Glyph in your inventory. You can replace it with a Glyph of the same rank or a higher rank, which will increase the value of the glyph.
There are Glyphs in the Black Lion Trading Post, as part of the Gem Store purchase or bundle with certain gathering tools that are unlimited-use, and through Faction Crypt raids. Each Faction Crypt has the chance of dropping one of the numerous Glyphs as well as some rare glyphs that can be found as drops from any of the four Faction Crypts.
Once you have the desired Glyphs You will have to attach them to your equipment. Each Glyph unlocks a unique bonus that will boost a particular set of stat nodes in the vicinity of the Glyph. It can be +40 for one of your primary stats or +25 for two of your secondary stats, based on the Glyph.
Glyphs boost all nodes that are connected to them, therefore it is recommended to place Glyphs in the most important places on the Graph. This will increase the impact. Druids, for example should put their Glyphs close to their primary damage nodes. They might be able to place them near their primary damage nodes.
Leveling
The upgrade system for items allows players to increase the effectiveness of certain items by introducing upgraded components. This is known as "upping". Every upgradeable item has a level, which determines its final upgraded stats. Upgraded items can be leveled up to a maximum level of 385. Each item level requires different components, and the cost of upgrading increase with each level.
Certain upgrades require an ingredient to be activated. This ingredient can be obtained by the completion of Upgrade Recipes. These recipes can be purchased from NPCs or on the upgrade tab of the crafting table. Each Upgrade Recipe completed yields a certain number of Technology points. These points can be used for upgrading an item. Once enough points are earned, you will be eligible to claim the upgrade and receive its additional bonuses.
When the player improves the equipment they have, the base item will be replaced with an item that is new. The same armor will receive a weapon or a shield when upgraded. The new item will also have its own set bonus. This could be a disadvantage since the item may be more expensive even if you don't need it.
If the player has enough tokens, they can reroll item upgrades . The item will be replaced with a brand new one that has a base of level 1 and totally different bonuses. This can be useful but it should not be used frequently as it could waste resources.
Certain upgrades can increase their value and allow players to personalize their equipment. One example is Dolphin's Gift, which gives a buff when the player repeatedly enters and leaves the water (or is able to swim like a dolphin). It is possible to upgrade it several times, each time increasing the maximum roll by a factor of 10. This item can be extremely valuable in PvP as a perfectly rolled version of it can be worth between 20 and 50x its non-upp'd value.
Requirements
The item upgrader allows players to raise the level of their equippable equipment (armor weapons, weapons, and trinkets) beyond ilvl385 by handing over the appropriate currency to the NPC. Upgrades to armor set pieces also improve the strength of their base defense and weapon upgrades items increase their base damage as well as their strength and dexterity.
Each item can be upgraded up to five times, with the exception for hero equipment, which can be upgraded eight times. Each time you upgrade an object, it is at risk of failing. The failure rate increases when you exceed the maximum number. Failures can result in the item reverting back to its original condition, which requires the user to pay more for materials than they would have to had they stopped upgrading at the maximum number of upgrades.
If an item isn't upgraded, the experience bar in the bar for growth will be reset to zero. In addition the item will be deducted any bonus it earned such as crit chance, attack damage, and all additional effects associated with the effect (for example, increased heal over time or the speed of reloading). The player can continue to use their weapon or armor even after the failure.
If an item is upgraded, the upgrades are applied from lowest to highest. This means that the weapon that is upgraded receives a crit chance boost that it will be applied prior to any attack damage increases. Slots is a brand-new attribute that was added to the definitions of items. The value is calculated each time an upgrade occurs.
The amount of resources required to upgrade an item is based on the rarity rating and the number of upgrade slots. The upgrade cost for non-premium items is equal to the base value of the upgrade--for instance, a typical equipment item could have five upgrades with a cost of 25600 Technology Points 4x Quality Improvement Opportunity. Hero grade items have lower costs per upgrade.
Premium items could have different upgrade requirements than standard gear. For instance they might require less sowels, however they may require more minerals and orons. Whatever the case, players must visit the NPC [Armor] Boboko in Central Flarine with each piece of equipment they want to upgrade. Each upgrade to equipment will require different amounts of ingredients for upgrading, in addition to the cost that are listed above.
